NY SCREENWRITING AGENTS (Got a Script? Need an Agent? Here are 50 in NY.)
by Dov S-S Simens on April 10, 2016
NEED A LITERARY AGENT
Screenwriters need Literary Agents. Actors need Talent Agents. Producers need Packaging Agents.
(Although visual states “Hollywood Agent” the below list is solely for NY Agents that make Hollywood deals)
If you are a Screenwriter, with a script that has been Written (Treatment & 2 Drafts), Registered (WGA East or West), Copyrighted (Library of Congress)….and has been written with a structured Beat Sheet (40-60 scenes outlined), with the correct writing format (Final Draft, Movie Magic or Celtx), with character with great dialogue that are believable (likable or not) human beings.. then you are ready to proceed with obtaining an agent.
50 NY LITERARY AGENTS
Below is a list started by Michael Bernard in 2012 that has merit.
In the following 6 weeks I will post 100s of more agents with a focus on the Major 6 Packaging Agencies (“CAA”, “WME”, “ICM”, “UTA”, “APA” & “Paradigm”) that have 1,000s of agents and staff in New York, Hollywood, London, Memphis, Miami & China (“CAA” only).
(Correct Format, Great Dialogue, Cut-To-The-Chase Grabbers, Structured A-Story, 3-Sub Plots, Superb Conflict, Fascinating Characters & Fulfilling Resolution… “Okay, so that was 8 Things”)

What are the means for Canadians to get literary agents in the US?
I recently navigated the process of buying a Used Hyundai Santa Fe for Sale Online https://epicvin.com/cars/hyundai-santa-fe-cars-for-sale The site’s interface is user-friendly, making it easy to find and explore a diverse range of used cars. What impressed me the most was the detailed information provided for each vehicle, offering comprehensive insights and answering all my questions. EpicVin’s website not only boasts a vast selection of used cars but also presents the information in a clear and organized manner, making the decision-making process seamless. The site’s commitment to transparency is evident, providing accurate and up-to-date information that instills confidence in potential buyers. I appreciated how the platform ensured that all necessary details were readily available, making my search for the perfect used car a breeze.
You’re an idiot. This list is useless. Not only is it four years out of date but roughly 95% of the agents listed DO NOT ACCEPT UNSOLICITED MATERIALS and work on a REFERRAL basis only.
Why the hell are you wasting everybody’s time with this crap? Do your research, you lazy fool.
None of the agencies I checked on the list had any information about submitting screenplays. If you had a book to submit, you’re in great shape. But screenplays? Forget it. The list is a waste of time. Search elsewhere!
I totally AGREE with Harold Clark — this agent list is a WASTE of time — that’s hugely OUTDATED. Obviously, NO care whatsoever (or due diligence) was put into creating this incredibly incompetent and useless list. 2 EXAMPLES: The Abrams Artists agent listed (Morgan Jenness) is out of the business since the 1990’s according to Abrams. And CAA agent Simon Green does NO work whatsoever with screenplays according to his assistant at CAA!
Dov Simens obviously put little or NO effort into actually creating a useful, accurate list here — and that’s WORSE than no list at all. Indeed, NO list at all would be far kinder — by at least sparing people this total waste of time (contacting people who are not even close to being what was represented on this ridiculous time-wasting list). Very frustrating.

GOOD vs EVIL
NEVER BEFORE HAVE THEY BEEN ARRANGED LIKE THIS
THE DEVIL WILL ONLY REVEALS ITSELF TO A SOUL THAT IS ALREADY LOST.
THIS IS THE STORY ABOUT IT’S FIRST MISTAKE.
QUESTION OF EVOLUTION VS CREATION THAT SATISFY ALL THE VIEWERS.
THINK ABOUT AN AUDIENCE BASE THAT SPANS YOUTH TO MILLENNIALS ALL THE WAY TO THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT.
The viewer is catapulted through centuries of alternative history.
THE CAIN DEBATES have 64 PRIMARY characters with a depth enhanced by words and blistering pace.
Events bring Jim, the minister from a small town in the swamp covered Parish of Misral, to confront the Devil who says that God is nothing more than a dream that cannot come true. To prove It’s point It tells three stories, revealing things that will SEND pure HATE cringing in a corner.
In the first story, The Devil reveals to Jim the worst of human nature. Aldom sends his two sons to kill Vlad III, who lives up to his name “The Impaler.”
In the second story, It blurs the line between man and animal. Young Mikhail wants only to be a survivor. Sadly, his dream never comes true.
In the third story, the Devil remembers the best of times, when It feasted in the Ukraine during the Harvest of Sorrow.
Each story sparks debate between the minister and the Great Deceiver and takes the discussion all the way back to existence’s first breath.
In this trial of life, Jim asks the Devil: Were you not there with Abraham and his favorite son? Did you not walk with Moses to the promised land? Did It think Jesus’ kindness was only weakness?
The Devil answers these questions with its own INTERPRETATIONS of those events.
